The first profile CD of the Czech String Duo was produced in 2002 and contains original works for violin and cello by 20th century composers. Bohuslav Martinů composed two compositions for this formation, each in a different creative period. Arthur Honegger’s Sonatina is not well known, but it surprises with its imaginativeness and freshness. On the other hand, Maurice Ravel’s Sonata is one of the major chamber works not only of the composer, but of the music of the 20th century in general.

Bohuslav Martinů (1890-1959) : Duo No. 1

Bohuslav Martinů (1890-1959) : Duo No. 2
